Daily Check-in Calls
Get a free daily mood boost! Hear friendly voices every day and add your voice to them to help others. This is not a deep-sharing support group and certainly not therapy or a pity party. It's run entirely by a team of peers - people who "get" you because they share your challenges. Mon-Fri, 10:15 a.m. eastern time. Led by our nomad members and open to all. No need to preregister; just show up! Get meeting reminders with meeting links on our Discord server or by subscribing to the meeting's text messages below.
Online Social / Community Center
Our private 24 x 7 Discord server-- a friendly, private online social space / community center created by our nomad members to share with all our peers. People who "get" you will have text discussions, post pictures, play games, teach and learn each other's hobbies and wellness techniques, have scheduled or impromptu phone and/or video get-togethers, and interact without constant exposure to the news or the toxicity of social media like Facebook and Twitter. We Need YOU!
Those of us who are veterans of the road know how healing travel can be — and, sometimes, how lonely and frightening it can be. The nomad chapter provides a way for people to get together and hang out with others who share similar challenges. Our meetings and events aren’t pity parties or therapy. They are like hanging out around a campfire with other people who “get it.” The nomad chapter provides a way for people who are travelling with anxiety, depression, etc., to provide social support to each other. It is also open to those planning to become nomads. Any human regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religion, etc., is welcome. We don’t care what drugs you do or don’t take or whether you identify with any medical diagnostic labels. If you deal with mental challenges, we’ll accept you as one of us.
In order to make this work, we need YOU. We need you if you’re an old hand; we need you if you’re new; we need you if you’ve been doing great for years; we need you if you’re struggling. We need people who are going to give hope to others by their example. We need people who can give others a sense of purpose by needing their support. We need the newbies to remind the veterans of how far they’ve come and the veterans to show the newbies how they got so far. Start participating and help us help each other!
