Welcome to the New Home of the Virtual Caravans
Whether or not you’re going to the Jan 2026 RTR, you should join us if you are, were, or are considering being a full- or part-time nomad.
TMSA provides not one, but two Nomad Communities: The Virtual Caravans for all nomads and The Nomad Chapter for the subset of Nomads who share mental health challenges. There is an overlap in those two communities so it is not unusual for Nomads to participate in both communities. The big difference is that the Virtual Caravans are not confidential and are open to all nomads while the Nomad Chapter is only open to those who identify as having any mental health challenge or who are autistic and its community is confidential.

Nomads Just Wanna Have Fun!
TMSA nomad communities cater to those of us with the wandering spirit. Whether it’s a van, an RV or your aunt’s 1974 station wagon, TMSA has you covered. Considering becoming a nomad? We offer group meetings tailored to the nomad experience and the varietyof challenges encountered with life on the road. Regardless of what – or where – you call home these days, our groups provide a place for you to share and discuss with fellow nomads your own experiences and your own challenges within the nomad environment. Our group sessions feel like a gathering around a campfire with fellow travelers who get you! Each of our facilitators is also a nomad, meaning they can relate to the trials of nomad living We offer regular group meetups you can attend either through Google Meet or voice-only by dialing in. Wherever you are, a meeting is waiting for you. Join today!
Phone Meetings with Optional Video
Team Mood Support provides a safe and relaxed environment to discuss the risks, the rewards and the unfolding adventure that the nomad lifestyle presents. Always friendly and never judgmental, we shy away from lectures, choosing instead to focus on the personal experience of all group members. Our group sessions feel more like a gathering around a campfire with fellow travelers who get you! Each of our facilitators is also a nomad, meaning they can relate to the trials of nomad living while also appreciating the unique challenges presented to our mental health when on the road. We offer regular group meetups via Google Meet or voice-only by dialing in. That means wherever you are, a meeting, a friend, and a trusted listener is waiting for you. Join today!
Online Social / Community Center
We proudly offer a private 24 x 7 Discord server—a friendly, private online social space and community center created by our nomad members to share with all of our peers. People who “get” you will have text discussions, impromptu audio/video discussions, post pictures, play games, teach and learn each other’s hobbies and wellness techniques. We interact without the pressure and exposure found on other social media platforms such as Facebook or X. Got a good recipe for vegetarian meatloaf? Want to find out which of your fellow members have visited Alaska? Share it, post it, upload it to our Discord Server and let the fun begin! SIGN UP TO GET YOUR INVITATION AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE
Nomad Chapter Only: Daily Check-in Call
Your voice is important to us! Those of us who are experienced travelers of the road already know how healing the journey can be — and, sometimes, how lonely and frightening it can be. TMSA provides a way for people with common interests and common goals to get together and hang out with others who share similar challenges. We love sharing! The nomad chapter provides a way for people who are travelling with anxiety, depression, bi-polar, etc., to provide social support to and for each other.
Get a free daily mood boost! Every morning, hear friendly voices discussing nomad topics and add your voice to the conversation – you might find help and, in doing so, you might help others! This is not a deep-sharing support group and it is certainly not therapy. Our check-in calls are run entirely by a team of peers – people who “get” you because they, too, are nomads, and share many of the same experiences and challenges nomads often encounter. No need to pre-register; just show up!
Nomad Chapter Only: Holiday Hangouts
Want some friendly company during the holidays? Both nomads and locals are welcome to join us by phone and/or video for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Open to all. Come and go when it works for you.
